Name that character

Q: Where do you get your character names?

A: Pinterest, Pinterest, Pinterest.

Did I mention Pinterest?

If you’re not using Pinterest for all things writing, you’re doing it wrong. I love Pinterest, despite standing in line one day while shopping and listening to one middle school aged boy tell his friend that Pinterest was for old ladies. Pinterest has a wealth of information all clumped together for the taking.

There are endless links for writing tips, writing blogs, books, books and more books, editing, self-help, and yes, a plethora of character names and inspirations. Looking for the right face for your next protagonist. Pinterest. Looking for the right facial expression for your next antagonist. Pinterest. Not only will they have thousands of pictures to peruse as you look for just the right look, but they’ll have just as many links to sites with the right words for the perfect facial description.

I also use Pinterest to promote my books, short stories, writing tips and book reviews.

Like I said, if you’re not using Pinterest for all things writing, you’re doing it wrong.

Check out my Pinterest character name page (and others) for ideas and inspiration.
